College Profile: Upper Limit Aviation
ULA is a helicopter flight school located in class Bravo (B) airspace at the Salt Lake International airport in Salt Lake City, UT. As an FAA Part 141 and Part 61 training facility, training exclusively in Robinson helicopters, an industry standard, ULA is pleased to offer courses in: Private Helicopter Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Helicopter Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument. Additional Special Curriculum courses are offered in the following: Turbine Transition, External Load, Mountain Flying, Robinson R44 Transition, and SFAR 73 Transition. Upper Limit is also equipped for commercial operations with 135,133 and 137 certificates allowing for custom tours, charters, photo flights, agricultural and external load work.

SLCC/ Cornerstone Aviation Affiliation
Upper Limit Aviation is uniquely partnered with Salt Lake Community College and Cornerstone Aviation to offer a professional pilot program for both helicopter and fixed wing aircraft. ULA and CSA are both FAA approved part 141 pilot schools offering a thorough, standardized curriculum.
When enrolling through SLCC, students have the option to enroll in the Professional Pilot Certificate Program, or choose to complete the Associate of Science (AS) degree in Professional Pilot. This allows for students to be eligible for financial aid, federal funding, scholarships and grants.
VA / GI Bill Benefits
As Part 141 flight school, Upper Limit Aviation offers courses approved through VA. In addition, through our partnership with Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) and the Professional Pilot Program, we are able to offer an approved college program with VA approval for both helicopters and fixed wing (in association with Cornerstone Aviation) which includes post 9/11 GI Bill education benefit coverage starting with Private Pilot through advanced special operations courses.
